Calling the Office
My office is open for telephone calls Monday through Friday from 8:00 – 12:00 and from 1:00 – 4:30.
Phone calls made to the office at any other times will be forwarded to my answering service. They will take your message, and if it requires immediate attention, will forward it to the on-call orthopaedic surgeon. I share evening and weekend call with a group of eight other orthopaedic surgeons.
I regularly see patients in my office during the following times:

Monday: 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
Wednesday: 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Most other times during the workday I am in surgery. You may leave a message with the office staff at any time. Phone # (916) 732-3340
Because of HIPPA privacy rules, we can not communicate about your medical condition with email.
Medication Questions
Prescription Refills
If you need a refill on an existing prescription, contact your pharmacy and they will communicate with my office.
If you have a problem with your existing prescription, or need a different medication, Call my Office.
Call During Office Hours
It is always easier to deal with your pain medication problems during the normal office hours. This includes the need to have your prescription refilled. If there are problems that need to be addressed, try to call the office during normal office hours. If you anticipate the need for a refill as the weekend approaches, try to call the office before Thursday noon.
After Hours or Weekend
If you call after hours, or on the weekend, there may be a prolonged time before your call is returned. If I am not on call over a weekend it may not be possible for you to get a refill on your medication until Monday.
